Wedding Vows 2

Minister/ Officiant: Who gives this woman to be married to this man?

Guests:  Groom and Bride has asked me to tell you how happy they are to have each of you here to share with
them, their special occasion, and to thank you for witnessing their expression of love for one another. At this
time, and in this place, we call upon God to witness the words that shall be spoken here today.

Groom and Bride have come before us this afternoon to dedicate themselves to each other in love and with the
promise of an enduring relationship, to build a world as wide as their wishes and as clear as their ideas. The
achievement of this purpose will require appreciation of each others abilities and virtues, forgiveness of each
others faults, and an unfailing devotion to each others health and development.

Of all creations on earth and heaven, love is the most precious. There is a miracle that happens to those who
really love, the more they give, the more they possess of that precious nourishment from which all things
beautiful get their strength. They feel that their love stems from their capacity to love deeply, enjoy simply and
to think freely.

There is a special dynamic between the two of you. As you both are committed to the love you share, there is
fire and passion. A love this deep allows each day to be celebrated, continuing to unify your relationship
together … even more than the day before… A love this deep can be your life line, in times of challenging
circumstances, as well as magnify the joy of celebration and accomplishments. Both of you are transformed by
a love so vast that old beliefs simply melt away, allowing new insight and understanding to take their place. As
you join today in marriage, the celebration transcends any limitations as triumphant waves of love flow through
the passages of time.

In this sacred relationship, you and your partner will continue on a journey of discovery. By your side will be
your best friend, your lover, playmate, confidant, and caretaker.

Groom and Bride’s wishes for each other is for a love that makes each of them a better person, for a love that
encourages personal goals, for a love that supports dreams, for a love that continues to give joy, for a love that
gives a zest for living and for a love that provides the strength and energy to face the responsibilities of life.
Their special wish is that each of you remain in being a part of their lives – for without family and friends to
share their love with, life would be less meaningful.

Groom, Bride entered your life and with her you experience love and happiness, and now will you have this
woman as your wife? Do you promise to love, honor and cherish her? To be a friend? To share with her willingly
your feelings?

Groom, I do.

Bride, Groom entered your life and with him you experience love and happiness and now will you have this man
as your husband? Do you promise to love, honor and cherish him? To be friend? To share with him willingly and
openly your joys and worries, your successes and your struggles? And with faith and tenderness to live with him
all the days of your life?

Bride, I do.

Rings

As symbols of your mutual esteem and love, these wedding rings represent the endless love that links you,
spirit to spirit, and soul to soul. As your rings have no beginning and no endings, your love for one another will
go on and on and on.

Groom, as you place this ring on Bride’s finger, hold it in place and repeat after me, My most beloved, accept
this oath of love of which I offer you. I vow this ring, as I vow my soul, ever to be at your service. Like it’s value,
my love will endure. Accept this ring, my chosen one, for all which is mine, will now be thine.

Bride, I accept with joy, my most beloved, I know what is in my heart, as I know what is in yours.

Bride, if you truly desire to marry this man, I ask you to repeat these words: My most beloved, accept this oath
of love of which I offer you. I vow this ring, as I vow my soul, ever to be at your service. Like it’s beauty, my heart
will be strong. Like it’s value, my love will endure. Accept this ring, my chosen one, for all which is mine, will now
be thine.

Groom, I accept with joy, my most beloved, I know what is in my heart, as I know what is in yours.

Candle lighting / Unity candle (optional)

May the days and years to come, be filled with integrity and joy, that will allow you to abide through times of fear
and doubt. May your affection for each other continue to grow and rise from you, and enter the lives of others,
enriching and strengthening them… It is not your love that will sustain your marriage, from now it will be your
marriage that sustains your love. Love does not consist of merely gazing into each others eyes, but by looking
together in the same direction.

Do you Groom take this woman to be your wife?

Do you Bride take this man as your husband?

All that have heard and witnessed that which has been said, then in the symbol of joining, one to the other, seal
this ceremony with a kiss.

As you honor yourselves and others, in the name of God, and to you, may you know the best of fortunes, a life
of joy, prosperity, pride and strength.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you as husband and wife:
